What can we work on?

Below are some examples of the issues we can work on together. Facing something else, or not sure exactly what is bothering you? Feel free to get in touch as well.

Trauma
01

Trauma

After going through a distressing event, you may experience lasting psychological symptoms. These can include flashbacks, stress, anxiety and insomnia. In that case you may have suffered trauma, or be experiencing trauma-related symptoms. Fortunately, effective treatments exist, such as EMDR.

Anxiety or panic
02

Anxiety or panic

Anxiety is a normal and useful emotion when there is a concrete threat of danger. But when you also feel anxious in ordinary situations where there is no danger, anxiety can become a distressing obstacle in daily life. These limiting symptoms can be treated effectively with psychological therapy.

Negative self-image
03

Negative self-image

Not entirely happy with yourself? A negative self-image can make you criticise yourself constantly, doubt your abilities and struggle to accept compliments. Your inner critic can undermine your self-confidence and negatively affect your sense of self-worth. Together we will examine your negative beliefs, trace their origins, and work on developing more realistic and supportive thoughts about yourself.

Grief and loss
04

Grief and loss

Grief is a natural response to loss, and can be a complex and emotional process. Sometimes it helps to have the guidance of a psychologist during this process. A psychologist can listen and offer emotional support, help with unprocessed feelings, and teach you to cope with the changes that the loss of a loved one brings.

Sleep problems
05

Sleep problems

A good night's sleep is essential for our health and well-being. A disturbed sleep pattern or insomnia can therefore be very limiting. In treatment we can explore together what causes your sleep problems, and work towards restoring a healthy sleep pattern.

Relationship problems
06

Relationship problems

Relationships and a sense of connection are very important for our happiness and well-being. At the same time, relationships can be quite complicated. Whether it concerns communication problems, trust issues or other obstacles, I am happy to think along with you about ways to improve your relationship. Together we explore the underlying dynamics, identify patterns and develop skills to foster mutual connection and understanding.

Burnout
07

Burnout

Burnout arises when prolonged stress and overload exhaust you physically and mentally. As a result you may feel chronically tired and irritable, experience concentration problems and low mood, and barely manage your daily activities. I am glad to support you in your recovery. Together we can look for the source of your symptoms and for ways to bring you back into balance.

Chronic pain without a medical cause
08

Chronic pain without a medical cause

Sometimes people experience physical symptoms without a clear medical cause being found. As a psychologist I can offer support, guidance and treatment, looking together at the psychological and emotional aspects that underlie the pain.
